Required Documentation

Please bring required documents with you to orientation.

All Memberships

  • You must provide valid photo identification and sign a membership application document.
  • Membership in the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) is required as a condition of membership in CSF. 
  • This is an ongoing requirement which is checked annually with the NRA.
  • Your NRA membership number must be kept up to date in our membership system.
  • Unless requested, you do not need to provide physical documentation for NRA membership.

Retired members

A retired member shall be defined as those persons who either: 
  1. Have reached the age 65. A photo copy of your driver's license would be considered acceptable proof of retirement.
  2. Are under age 65 and are on a fixed income from a pension or other similar source, and have no other regular source of income. Eligibility based on age may be reviewed and approved by the membership chair. 
All other requests must be reviewed and approved by the Board on an individual basis.

Student Members

  • Must be enrolled full time (with proof of enrollment) in high school or post secondary education.
Any *one* of the following documents is considered acceptable proof of enrollment:
  • A scanned copy of your student identification card demonstrating that you will be enrolled on 5/1. If your card does not have an explicit date on it, it must indicate in some way that you are enrolled for the current school year. An identification card that only contains the date you started school is not acceptable.
  • A transcript or course list showing the courses you are enrolled in for dates that include either the spring or summer of the current year. A transcript in .txt format is NOT acceptable.
  • A letter from your college student affairs or admissions office stating that you are enrolled as a student for a time period that includes the spring, summer, or fall. This letter must:
    • be on school letterhead
    • display a school seal or logo
    • contain a signature and phone number of a representative from the admissions office
  • Proof that you have accepted an offer to attend an eligible college or university stating for a semester/grading period starting on or before September of the current year. You must not only include an acceptance offer letter, but also show proof that you have accepted the offer. The acceptance letter must:
    • be on school letterhead
    • display a school seal or logo
    • contain a signature and phone number of a representative from the admissions office
